Rajinikanth Early Life
Rajinikanth was born on 12 December 1950 in a Maratha family in Karnataka, India. His ancestors were from Maharastra and Tamil Nadu. He was the youngest of four children of his parents. His mother was Jijabai and his father, Ramojirao Gaekwad. His father was a police constable. At the age of eight, he lost his mother. In his tender age, he attended the Acharya Paathshala in Bangalore. Afterward, he completed his high school from the Vivekananda Balaka Sangha.
Rajinikanth struggled a lot to earn money at his youth. After passing out from school, he worked as a coolie and carpenter, and later he started working as a bus conductor in the Bangalore Transport Service. Afterward, he joined Madras Film Institute to learn acting where Tamil film director K. Balachander advised him to learn Tamil.
In 1981, he married Latha Parthasarathy, and the couple has two daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya.
Rajinikanth started acting in his school days. He started acting in stages from where he wanted to take acting seriously. He made his debut in the Tamil film Apoorva Raagangal in 1975. In his early days of acting, he got negative roles. His first film as the lead actor in Telegu film Chilakamma Cheppindi in 1977. He got first commercial success through the film Billa, a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s film Don.
He has acted in over 150 films till date. He did only one English film named Bloodstone. His film Muthu was dubbed in Japanese and became super hit in Japan.
