Ralph Carter debuted his professional acting and singing career as a child in the Broadway musical, “Raisin” which was based on the drama, “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry. He then went on to debut on TV with the CBS sitcom, “Good Times” in which he featured as Florida and James Evans, Sr.’s youngest child, Michael Evans. He was a part of the show from 1974 to 1979.
Ralph Carter’s professional music career started in 1975 with the album, “When You’re Young and in Love” for which he performed as well on Soul Train. The song, “Extra, Extra” and the title song of the album charted as No. 12 and No. 10, respectively.
Ralph Carter also appeared in two other musicals on the Broadway by Galt MacDermot, which ended up as flops.
