Darryl Eugene Strawberry Sr. was born in 1962 on 12th March to Henry Strawberry and Ruby Strawberry. He was born and raised in Los Angeles. He has an elder brother named Michael Strawberry.
Darryl completed his schooling from Crenshaw High School. He played baseball for his high school team and was drafted by Ney York Mets as #1 pick in the 1980 MLB’s amateur draft. His elder brother was also drafted by Dodgers in that draft.
