Ryan Sweeting was born on 14th July 1987 in Nassau, Bahamas to his mother Cindy. He was an active boy at a young age and his mother admitted him to a local tennis academy when he was 6 years old. However experiencing a lack of opportunities in his home town he decided to move to Florida to get professional training in tennis.
In 2006 after winning US open Boys singles title he became a US citizen and got himself enrolled in The University of Florida in Gainesville on a sports scholarship. He was known for his interest in movie watching and spearing and had an active life that got him much exposure in the papers.
