Boyce Watkins was born on June 20, 1971, in Louisville, Kentucky to Robin Couch who was a teen mother. Watkin’s father left his family shortly after his birth. When Boyce was just three years of old, his mother married to Larry Watkins who was a young Vietnam veteran from Louisville.
While he was in school, the teachers placed him in special education because according to them he was not smart enough to go to college.
