David Adkins was born in 1956 on 10th November to a Baptist Dr. Donald Beckley Adkins and Louise Adkins. He has two sisters named Dorothea and Donna, and three brothers named Donald, Michael, and Mark.
Sinbad completed his graduation from Benton Harbor High School. Later he graduated from the University of Denver, where he also lettered for two seasons with the college basketball team.
