Barbara Jill Walters was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 25, 1929, to her parents Louis “Lou” Walters and Dena Seletsky.
She went to a public school called Lawrence School in Brookline, Massachusetts. Later, she attended Ethical Culture Fieldston School and Birch Wathen School. Walter went to Sarah Lawrence College and earned her BA in English.
