Quincy Jones Early Life
Quincy Jones was born on March 14, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Quincy Jones was born to Quincy Delightt Jones Sr., a baseball player, and Sarah Frances (nee Wells), a bank officer. Quincy Jones’ parents got divorced and his father remarried, Elvera. Jones was raised along with seven other siblings three of which are his step-siblings.
Jones’ family relocated to Washington when he was ten years old. Jones enrolled in Seattle University on scholarship. Quincy Jones formed a band which consisted of members of the Arlen show. The band was called “The Jones Boys”.
