John Gotti Early Life
John Gotti was born on 27th October 1940 in South Bronx, New York. His father’s name was J. Joseph Gotti and his mother was Fannie who were Italian immigrants. His father works as a day labor and finds it pretty hard to run a family of 13 children. Gotti was fifth among them. Before settling in East New York, Gotti’s family moved a lot due to financial problems. At the time East New York was infamous for its youth gang activity.
Gotti started working for Carmine Fatico, who runs an underground club in the neighborhood at the age of 12. Gambino Family was the biggest among the five organized crime families in New York and Fatico was a captain in it. Gotti met his life-time mentor in the club, Aniello Dellacroce.
