Roger Stone was born on 27th August 1952 in Connecticut, USA to Gloria Rose and Roger J. Stone in a humble catholic abode. He was the vice president of his student government when he was in high school and even went on to become the president of the same in his senior year with his wit and smartness. Four years later, he worked in Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign and in 1977, he was appointed as the national chairman of Young Republicans. He has been associated with some big names from the very beginning of his career, such as Thomas Kean, Thomas Golisano and John Davis Lodge.
He worked in Ronald Reagan’s presidential campaign again in 1980. He formed a political consulting firm called “Black, Manafort, and Stone” along with his partners Charlie Black and Paul Manafort. This firm was the key to the success of Ronald Reagan’s 1984 campaign. He established the group “Republics for Choice” with his first wife in 1989.
He was also involved in the Republic Senator-cum-presidential nominee Arlen Specter’s campaign for the 1996 presidential election, Donald trump’s lobbyist and was also recruited by James Baker during Florida recount for PR assistance. In 2008, he formed the Citizens United Not Timid, a group against Hillary Clinton.
