Geraldo Rivera was born in 1943 on 4th July to Lilian and Cruz Rivera. His mother was a restaurant worker while his father was a car driver. He was born at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York City, New York. Rivera grew up in Brooklyn as well as West Babylon, New York.
He went to West On High School. Between September 1961 and May 1963, he was studying at The State University of New York Maritime College. He then transferred to the University of Arizona.
